David Holyan is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA. He serves as Pastor and Head of Staff of the First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood (St. Louis) MO. As a member of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance‘s National Response Team, David works primarily in the area of human-caused disaster and clergy resilience. He is co-author of Recovering from Un-natural Disasters. David has done doctoral work in dramaturgy & preaching at the University of Exeter, has a DMin in Christian Spirituality from Columbia Theological Seminary, a MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a BA in Religion from Seattle University.

Prior to coming to St. Louis, David served for five years as the Associate Pastor of the Rollingbay Presbyterian Church on Bainbridge Island, WA and before that, he spent three years as the Pastor of Sligo Presbyterian Church in Sligo, PA. Before entering into ministry David spent time as a medical laboratory sales rep and a stockbroker.
